2024 SIGBIT Workshop on Web3 Ecosystems and Artificial intelligence
December 15, 2024, Bangkok, Thailand
(in conjunction with the 2024 International Conference on Information Systems)
Blockchain technology continues to flourish, transforming various industries such as finance, insurance, manufacturing, supply chain management, education, healthcare, and government operations. Emerging as a decentralized digital ecosystem rooted in blockchain, Web3 has garnered significant attention, encompassing a myriad of blockchain-based technologies and applications such as Decentralized Finance (DeFi), Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs), Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAOs), and the Metaverse. These technologies represent a shift towards a decentralized web paradigm, potentially countering the excessive centralization of data and content characteristic of the Web 2.0 era.
Meanwhile, advancements in Artificial Intelligence (AI) have begun to converge with the Web3 ecosystem, offering new opportunities and challenges. AI's capabilities in data analysis, automation, and decision-making can significantly enhance the efficiency and scalability of Web3 technologies. However, this integration also raises critical questions related to ethics, security, data privacy, and the potential for new forms of centralization.
The aim of this workshop is to provide a forum for scholars to exchange research insights and findings on the intersection of Web3 decentralized ecosystems and AI. We invite pioneering researchers and thought leaders to contribute their empirical and theoretical works, thereby enriching the understanding of these emerging technologies and fostering a collaborative academic environment.
We welcome submissions on a wide range of topics, inclusive but not limited to:
- Blockchain and AI Synergies
- Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAOs) and AI Governance
- Decentralized Finance (DeFi)
- Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs)
- Metaverse and AI Integration
- Security and privacy issues for Web3 platforms
- Regulatory and legal issues for Web3 platforms
- Data Analytics and Management on Blockchains with AI
- Process and Transaction management on blockchains
- Ethics and AI in Web 3 Decentralized Ecosystems
Important Dates:
