AI-based Digital Business
Aim
Digital transformation is reshaping many organizations through the influence of artificial intelligence (AI) and other forward-looking digital technologies that are profoundly changing existing organizations and economies. The core of intelligent digitalization offers new perspectives for highly automated intelligent systems, services, products, and applications, as well as their human-centric context, right up to entire affected economies and societies. The potential of AI and cognition combined with intelligent data analytics for the next stage of digitalization in areas such as machine learning, natural language processing, generative AI, computer vision, and augmented reality enhances digital innovation and provides essential guidance for smart digital strategies, advanced stakeholder focused business models and digital architectures that provide the foundation for improved value propositions and real innovation.

Scope
We invite for research- and practice-based submissions. Submitted abstracts refer to the following formats: 1: Short Abstract (practice presentation title + 2-3 sentences); 2: Extended Abstract (presentation title + 1-2 pages); 3: Paper Abstract (Title, up to 500 words abstract for subsequent paper of 4 to 8 pages + presentation). The following topics define the conference scope, although other associated subjects may be applicable. Scientific papers are typically conference formats for students and Ph.D. students from the DBE and DBM programs of the Herman Hollerith Center.

Submission Guidelines and Review Process
The scientific paper should not exceed 8 pages, while industry papers could be with 4-6 pages, and be formatted according to the instructions of Springer: https://www.springer.com/us/authors-editors/conference-proceedings/conference-proceedings-guidelines
Authors are invited to submit original, unpublished papers that are not under review for another conference, workshop, or journal by the time of submission. The contributors should address one or more research areas included above.

Submitted papers will undergo a double-blind peer review by at least two members of the program committee. Prior to submission, please ensure that you have removed any information from your paper that could identify the authors. The paper’s acceptance is based on the following criteria: novelty, technical soundness, practical or theoretical impact, clarity, and presentation. At least one author per paper submission is required to register for the conference and to present the paper.
Additionally, we encourage for one-page abstracts from a short practice perspective and for posters from both science and practice.
