The International Symposium on Advances in Abrasive Technology (ISAAT) was first held in Sydney, Australia in 1997. Since 2002, ICAT has played a key role in organizing this annual event, which has been successfully hosted in various countries including Hong Kong China, the U.K., Turkey, Russia, the U.S., Japan, Australia, Taiwan, China, Germany, Singapore, China, Republic of Korea, Sweden and Canada. The ISAAT series aims to foster global connections between students, academic researchers, and industrial practitioners, facilitating the exchange of the latest developments and applications in abrasive technologies. The ISAAT2024, to be held in Portoroz, Slovenia, will continue to promote the development of the discipline, encourage research collaboration, and support the growth of young engineers and researchers in this field.

Submission Guidelines

• Submissions to the ISAAT proceedings are required to be in English, formatted according to the Word template provided on the conference website, with papers ranging from 4-6 pages.
• Additionally, authors may submit significantly revised and expanded versions of their ISAAT papers to the International Journal of Abrasive Technology (IJAT), ensuring these submissions are substantially different to meet Inderscience’s publishing policy.
• All submissions, whether for ISAAT proceedings or consideration by IJAT, must adhere to the specific formatting and submission guidelines detailed in the “Paper Submission” section on the conference website.
