SmartTech-IC 2024: 4th International Conference on Smart Technologies, Systems and Applications The conference will be held in Universidad Politécnica Salesiana, Campus-El Girón Quito, Ecuador, December 2-4, 2024

SmartTech-IC is an international conference conceived to attract researchers, scientists and technologists from some of the top companies, universities, research groups, and government agencies from Latin America and around the world to communicate their research results, inventions and innovative applications in the area of Smart Science and the most recent technological trends. The Third SmartTech-IC 2024 conference will be held at Universidad Politecnica Salesiana located in Quito-Ecuador. We encourage the submission of original, unpublished technical papers on one or more of the listed topics and sub-topics, as are shown below. Potential authors should not feel limited by the listed topics as it is not exhaustive. Topics include, but are not limited, to the following thematic areas: Smart Technologies, Systems and their Applications. Unlisted but related sub-topics are also acceptable.

Submission Guidelines

Authors are invited to submit full papers (10 to 12 pages in length; including figures, tables and references) and should be written in English or Spanish. Each submitted paper must contain original and unpublished contrinutions, not submitted for publication in any other conference or journal. Submission of a paper should be regarded as an undertaking that, should the paper be accepted, at least one of the authors should register and present orally the paper in the conference. The SmartTech-IC conference organizing committee have decided that the SmartTeh-IC 2024 will be held in a hybrid format with both onside and virtual versions to accommodate their participants. This decision will allow many more people to participate in our conference (by priorizing Virtual Assistence mode). In this way, Virtual Presentations will have the same validity (peer review, publication, certification, awards, etc.) as the face-to-face conference and with the capability to interact with session participants. The sessions will be streamed online real time and participants will be able to interact with asynchronously prior to, during and after the conference. Note that at least one author must confirm by registering by the Early Registration Deadline, otherwise your paper will be withdrawn.

Review Process

SmartTech-IC 2024 will institute a double-blind review process for all submissions. Therefore, authors must remove their personal details, acknowledgments section and any other information related to the authors' identity. All submissions will be reviewed by 3 experts from the Program Committee.  The first anonymous version must be submitted in PDF format.

Proceedings

The proceedings of SmartTech-ic 2024 conference will be published by Springer 

On the same way, some selected technical and short papers written in Spanish (less to 10 pages in length), will be included in the SmartTech-IC 2024 technical memories published by Abya-Yala Editorial and will be invited to submit an extended version for publication in International Journal, indexed by Scielo and available on Ebesco, Latindex, Dialnet, among others. 

Awards

The Best Paper of each thematic area of SmartTech-IC 2024 conference will receive an award in the form of a certificate, respectively.
