Towards Smart Regions: Projects, Technologies and Logistics for the Future
2025 IEEE European Technology and Engineering Management Summit (IEEE E-TEMS 2025) is addressing the challenge of developing smart regions through projects. The quality of life in smart regions is the guiding principle for the presentations and discussions at the summit, taking a more holistic view at the projects and technologies. We will share our ideas, questions and proposals where engineering, management, smart regions & cities, digital transformation and projects meet with the needs of society and citizens.
It will be our fifth E-TEMS Conference in the IEEE E-TEMS Conference Series and it is supported by the IEEE TEMS society, the IEEE Smart City society, and the European Partnership for Project and Innovation Management (EuroPIM). Its goals are to promote and explore the topics and relationships between Technology & Engineering Management, Projects and Smart Regions & Cities. As the conference is hosted in Flanders, Belgium, a special attention is given to the smart logistics in regions. IEEE E-TEMS 2025 is hosted by the KU Leuven (Bruges Campus).
The programme will be a balance between topics listed in the call for papers and those emergent from other submissions. For those interested in regional perspectives, it is important to note that we are actively seeking contributions from organizations in and around Dortmund, Bilbao, Trondheim, Kaunas, Leuven, Kyiv and other Smart Cities. Same as past conferences, the E-TEMS 2025 will continue to stories from the partner cities.
We invite proposals for research papers, posters, video presentations, technical demonstrators, project case descriptions, and other creative, critical insights to these issues. In the event that a proposal is not accepted for one format, the programme committee might offer alternatives (e.g. a poster or video).
We will also be hosting a doctoral workshop and encourage the presentation of doctoral proposals in early stage.
