Numerical Study of Composite Stiffener Debonding Under the Effect of Interface Change and Skin-Stiffener Thickness.

EasyChair Preprint 12150

3 pagesDate: February 16, 2024

Abstract

Bonding has become increasingly popular, particularly in industrial application sectors, such as aerospace, automotive and marine, where demand is high.To achieve required conditions, it is essential to ensure a more uniform distribution of stresses, minimize the weight increase of structures and, above all to assemble dissimilar composite materials at the design stage.
The objective of this investigation is to evaluate the influence of interface variation and skin-stiffner thickness on the delamination of the stiffner through a finite-element modeling using the Abaqus computation code.
