An Automation Model for Consensus Applied to the Trip Selection Problem with an Interval Approach

EasyChair Preprint 6101

6 pagesDate: July 16, 2021

Abstract

Consensus is a process present in group decision making (GDM, Group Decision Making), where a group of experts looks for a solution that satisfies the interests of the whole group. During the consensus process, it is sought to solve a specific problem, for this article the problem to be solved is the problem of travel selection, where the solution to be found is a portfolio formed by a set of destinations, as well as other factors to take into account are travel days, the cost of the trip, the places to visit. This case study uses an interval approach based on achievement to integrate preferences. The main contributions are a new model for the automation of consensus during the group decision-making process, as well as an automatic mechanism that will support the experts to make an adjustment in the preferences that allows reaching the consensus.
