Abstract

This study is entitled "Evaluation of the Utilization of Public Parks as Green Open Spaces in the City of Tanjung Balai Karimun, Riau Islands. Aims to take advantage of green open space in the City of Tanjung Balai Krimun, Riau Islands. utilizing public park space as one of the Green Open Spaces. This research also aims to solve the city's problems, namely optimizing the management of Green Open Space (RTH) in every place, one of which is the public park space in the city. Where the Urban Heat Island (UHI) in Tanjung Balai Karimun City itself can reach 30-32o in summer
This study uses research methods by collecting data from several literature reviews and also site surveys, with variables and indicators such as users and the environment. By conceptualizing to make Green Open Space more useful.
By conducting a survey, several results were obtained, such as: site location and some site analysis. And later the results will be taken into consideration for re-managing Green Open Spaces
