Model analysis for a hybrid biomass-PV micro-grid was carried out in this study. The model analysis showed that it has the ability to meet the requirement of the power demands of combined irrigation and a domestic load of a fruits farm in Egypt. In this paper, an efficient hybridization of two metaheuristic algorithms, namely Invasive Weed Optimization (IWO) and the Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO), has been proposed. this new algorithm is called (HIWO/PSO) which was applied to obtain the optimal sizing of the system.
