Abstract

Effective management of malaria relies not only on the availability of diagnostic and treatment services, but also on the health-seeking behavior and utilization of these services by the affected population. Understanding the factors that influence health-seeking behavior and service utilization is crucial for developing targeted interventions to improve malaria control.

Objectives: This review aims to synthesize the existing evidence on health-seeking behavior and utilization of malaria diagnosis and treatment services, with a focus on the key factors that shape these practices.
