This paper explores the current trends shaping IPTS, including the implementation of real-time tracking systems, mobile applications, automated payment solutions, and multimodal transportation integration. Case studies illustrate successful initiatives in cities that have adopted smart transit technologies and sustainable practices, highlighting the positive impact on accessibility and environmental sustainability. Looking ahead, the paper discusses future directions for IPTS, focusing on the potential of autonomous vehicles, artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things (IoT) in optimizing public transport services. However, challenges such as funding limitations, technology integration, data privacy concerns, and public perception must be addressed to fully realize the benefits of IPTS.
