Rule-based systems, empirical-based methods, and hybrid-based approaches are the three types of machine translation methodologies covered in the survey. It has its own set of advantages and disadvantages. The basic goal of machine translation is to bridge the linguistic divide between two people, companies, or countries by converting one natural language into a new one using automated computing tools. Machine translation (MT) is difficult because it entails a variety of difficult subtasks, such as ambiguous language, linguistic intricacies, and differences between source and target languages. The purpose of this study is to provide an overview of machine translation in Indian languages. The current condition of machine translation on a nationwide scale was investigated in this study.
