Abstract

In an increasingly interconnected world, English has emerged as the predominant global lingua franca, influencing cross-cultural communication and shaping identities across diverse societies. This paper explores the complex dynamics of cross-cultural interaction in the context of English as a global language, focusing on its impact on communication practices and identity formation. Through a review of existing literature, case studies, and empirical research, the study examines how the widespread use of English facilitates global dialogue while simultaneously creating challenges related to cultural assimilation and linguistic homogenization.
